Aqeel earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in U.S. Legal Studies from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, Illinois. His coursework included advanced studies in immigration law, constitutional law, criminal law, and criminal procedure, as well as the Federal Rules of Evidence. He also holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Babylon, College of Law in Iraq. His academic background reflects a strong foundation in both domestic and international legal systems, as well as a commitment to continued professional growth.

Prior to joining Stange Law Firm, Aqeel completed extensive legal research and training in U.S. law, where he conducted in-depth legal research and writing on a wide range of legal issues and further developed his understanding of U.S. legal procedures and practice. Through this work, he evaluated foreign legal credentials and strengthened his ability to analyze complex legal matters across jurisdictions. Earlier in his career, Aqeel practiced as an attorney in Baghdad, Iraq, where he represented clients in criminal proceedings, advised on legal strategy, and prepared motions and pleadings. He conducted witness interviews, analyzed evidence, and worked closely with clients throughout the legal process. Prior to that role, he managed an independent legal practice, handling criminal defense matters, drafting legal filings, and developing case strategies through detailed investigation and courtroom advocacy.

With more than a decade of legal experience and a multilingual background, Aqeel brings strong analytical skills, courtroom advocacy experience, and a dedication to client service. He is focused on helping clients navigate challenging legal situations while working toward outcomes that support their future stability and well-being.
