Kirk C. Stange, Esq.
Kirk C. Stange is the President and Founding Partner of Stange Law Firm, PC, a multi-state domestic relations law firm founded in 2007. Since opening the firm, Kirk has helped grow it from a single-office practice into a recognized, multi-state law firm with offices across many states. The firm’s mission is reflected in its tagline: “Here to Help You Rebuild Your Life™.”
Before founding the firm, Kirk practiced domestic relations litigation at three separate law firms, where he regularly handled contested hearings, trials, and complex matters. For much of his career, Kirk spent substantial time in the courtroom advocating for clients in difficult cases.
As Stange Law Firm has grown over the years, Kirk’s role has evolved from primarily litigating cases to now overseeing the firm’s business operations, strategic growth, marketing initiatives, and organizational leadership.
Kirk has devoted significant time to legal education and professional development within the legal community. He has presented continuing legal education seminars for organizations including The Missouri Bar, the National Business Institute, and other legal education providers. In 2014, Kirk presented at the Eighth Circuit Judicial Conference on social media evidence for attorneys and judges.
In 2017, the Missouri Bar recognized Kirk for his substantial contributions to continuing legal education seminars for Missouri attorneys. For several years, Kirk has also served as a mentor to attorneys through the Missouri Bar Mentoring Program.
Kirk graduated from Eureka High School before attending Fontbonne University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri School of Law, where he was selected as a member of the Order of the Barristers for courtroom advocacy skills. On the July 2000 Missouri Bar Examination, Kirk scored in the top ten percent of all examinees.
Kirk later completed the ABA Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute and is licensed to practice law in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
Kirk has received numerous professional honors and recognitions throughout his career, including:
- Super Lawyers — Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers Honoree (2015–Present)

- JD Supra Readers’ Choice Awards — Recognized as a top legal author since (2023-Present)
Kirk is also a published author and contributor on family law topics, featured in Thomson Reuters/Aspatore Publishing and Entrepreneur Magazine. In 2014, Kirk authored the book Prenuptial Agreements Line by Line, published by Thomson Reuters (Aspatore Publishing). Kirk also authored two additional chapters in legal books published by Thomson Reuters (Aspatore Publishing). In addition, Kirk has co-authored chapters in the Missouri Bar’s deskbook, which is used by attorneys throughout the state.
Due to the demands of leading a growing multi-state law firm, Kirk rarely accepts new legal matters. In the rare event that Kirk agrees to become involved in a matter, it is generally limited to highly unique cases located in and around the St. Louis metropolitan area. Attorneys at Stange Law Firm, PC continue to represent clients throughout the firm’s growing multi-state footprint.
Outside of the office, Kirk enjoys spending time with his children and fiancee. He goes to church as a member of the Journey West County. In his free time, Kirk enjoys boating, attending sporting events, visiting Galveston, Texas, gardening, listening to Americana music, and playing instruments such as bass guitar, violin, guitar, and drums.
