Shawn attended Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School where earned his Juris Doctor in May 2022. While in law school, Shawn also was named to the Dean’s List in 2021 and 2022. Before studying law, he attended Wayne State University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Finance in May 2017. Shawn is licensed to practice law in the state of Indiana.

Before joining the Indianapolis, Indiana divorce and family lawyers at Stange Law Firm, Shawn most recently spent the previous three years working as a Law Clerk for a law firm in Troy, Michigan. In this role, he assisted with Michigan no-fault and bodily injury legal research, drafted interrogatory discovery responses by consulting with clients and reviewing records, provided case status updates to litigation clients, and examined and summarized medical records for mediations and trial preparation. Shawn also spent time as a Law Clerk and a Student Attorney throughout law school. Working in these roles allowed him to gain valuable legal experience with trial preparation and depositions, legal research, client communications, and drafting and examining legal documents.
