Nia Malone, Esq.

Junior Associate Attorney

When facing a divorce or family law matter, it is important to understand that things will eventually get better if you take the appropriate steps to protect your rights. Having an attorney on your side who understands what you are going through and who will be there with you every step of the way can provide you with some much-needed peace of mind. Nia Malone is a Junior Associate Attorney with Stange Law Firm. She is located in our Clayton, MO family law office, and is ready to help clients throughout the St. Louis area.

Nia attended the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctor in December 2023. While in law school, Nia served as a member of the Black Law Student Association and the Inclusion and Empowerment Committee. She also served as the Secretary of the Student Bar Association, as the co-chair of the Diverse Student Coalition, and as a member of the Law School Hiring Committee. Before studying law, Nia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS. In her undergraduate studies, she earned Honor Roll recognition for multiple semesters and was a recipient of the KU Excellence Scholarship. Nia is currently licensed and ready to help her clients in the state of Missouri.

Before joining the St. Louis, Missouri divorce and family lawyers at Stange Law Firm, Nia most recently worked as a Research Assistant for a law firm in the Kansas City area. In this role, she worked to analyze extensive trial documents to provide trial summaries for clients facing the death penalty, track cases and look for legal trends, and conduct research into a variety of complex procedural and substantive matters to ensure compliance with statutes and rules in various states, including postconviction processes. While in law school, Nia worked as a Law Clerk for the Overland Park Municipal Court Prosecutor’s Office and as a Student Intern with both The District Court of the Western District of Missouri and the Federal Public Defenders Office. These roles allowed Nia to round out her legal experience, spending time on tasks including drafting and reviewing legal documents, researching and establishing relevant precedent, attending court hearings, and preparing and interviewing clients.
